What is operating system
An operating system is a program that acts as an interfaces between the software and the computer hardware. It is an interesting set of specialized programs used to manage over all resources an operations of the computer. For example the operating system recognized input from an input device such as the keyboard mouse, microphone or pc coordinates the display of output on the monitor instructs a printer how and when to print information and manages data and instructions in memory and information systems on disk. A complete needs an operating system to work and provide a graphical user interface for highel level functions.
Goal of an operating systems
The fundamental goal of a completer system is to execute user programs and to make task easier. Various application programs along with hardware system are used to perform this work. Operating system is a software which manages and control the entire set of resources and effectively utilize every part of a completer.
